Have you ever had a girlfriend that ‘been there, done that’ and went back there again?

Was this girlfriend all one friend?

Meet Bree Micheals, a young divorced mother of two children and that girlfriend mentioned above. After one failed marriage and a turbulent relationship, Bree decides to move back to Tuckett, Florida for a fresh start. She has her own apartment, a car and a nice job. She is feeling good about herself again.

Dre, described as a caramel complexion, tall but thick like Lebron James with huge cut arms décor with tattoos and a beautiful set of teeth that displays an infectious smile. He has all the physical ‘pluses’ a woman wants in a man. However he does have a MINUS. He’s married, married with children.

It all started when Bree’s car was mysteriously receiving car washes, then one or two roses left by her door and small notes stuck between the car doors. Very intriguing don’t you think?

Although Bree never intended to start a relationship with Dre, she does. Feeling guilty for the perverted lust she had for another woman’s husband didn’t consume her guilt; even as she reminisced about her own devastated emotions when she was ‘that woman’s husband.’ Bree realized this was another woman’s husband, the husband that lived in the same apartment complex as she; another woman’s husband whom she knew both his wife and children! What’s the word for this?

The wife had her suspicious and yes she finds out and the pages really start turning. Dre, well, he has nothing but love for his Boo (Bree) and demonstrates this LOVE to Bree. You’ve heard it before; ‘You’ll looking for Love in all the wrong places,’ breaking it down; Looking for Love within the wrong person.

The storyline is full of family support, girlfriends, an ignored conscious, sex, anger, lust, jealousy, rage, forgiveness and happiness. This was an enjoyable read. You know you got a good read when the story has you talking out loud to the characters. The drama within the storyline is a well-written realization of why you should listen to that little voice you hear that is called a conscious.

A good read. Make Another Woman’s Husband your book club selection.

Bree Michaels has just gotten rid of some serious poisonous relationships in her life. From the first page she makes a promise to herself to remain drama free. But Bree’s life has never allowed her to be drama free and drama seems to gravitate towards her like she’s a drama magnet. When she meets Dre from across the hall and he starts to peak her interest she is caught in a catch 22. He’s married, she knows the wife, and she’s been down that road before as the one being cheated on by a no good husband. But on the other side of the spectrum, Dre is sexy as hell! How will this wild relationship turn out? You have to pick up this page turner to see.

Comments from our book club:

“This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster spiritually, physically and mentally. It’s real, it’s powerful, it was a non-stop episode of the life & love of Bree.”

“The book was very exciting and I love the way the book had me very interested. I really enjoyed reading about Bree & Dre’s love interest.”

“Thanks for the read! It really opened my mind to new teaching for followers of the lord.”

“I felt that this book brought out a lot of different emotions that would make you take a deeper look in life.”

“The book captured my attention from the beginning to the end. It gave me insight into the psyche of Bree, a woman searching for love. I wanted her to finally find her place in this world. The author paid careful attention to the development of the characters. Excellent!”

“The book was excellent! It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. There was never a dull moment. I can’t waive for 2!”

“I feel the book was excellent. It was very intense and it kept my attention. I couldn’t put it down, can’t wait for the sequel.”

“Another Woman’s Husband was an excellent book. I felt as if I knew Bree personally because I was Bree. This book gave me hope that like Bree, I can also move on.”

“Angel Mechelle paints a vivid portrait of how love can take you on a fast ride. All Bree ever wanted was love, but while her head was telling her no, her body was screaming YES! Who hasn’t been there before? The characters in this book will have laughing, crying, screaming, kicking, even staying up until the middle of the night to see what happens next. If you are looking for a good read, this is the book for you!”

JAHZARA’S GOT ‘EM READING…
©2008 Jahzara
Another Woman’s Husband

By: Angel Mechelle
Genre: Urban Fiction
Publisher: Shannon Holmes Communication Media
ISBN:978-0-9814978-1-5
Price:$14.
95

Never judge a book by its title: Another Woman’s Husband. I had my own preconceived notion about what Another Woman’s Husband would be about prior to reading it. In my mind the mistress was going to want to tell her story and want sympathy from me, the reader. She was going to be the victim and tell her ‘Woe is me’ story. Not so. Although, I didn’t agree with all of Bree Michaels’s methods, I couldn’t help develop a certain fondness for Bree. She tugs at the strings of your heart.

Bree Michaels is the main character who is young, sexy, single and raising her two children. She has great ambition and wants the love of a man. When she finds out her secret admirer is her neighbor’s husband she swears she doesn’t want any drama but can’t contain her curiousity.
Dre, her sexy and charismatic neighbor has all of the answers. He’s so smooth he can melt butter. Bree knows right from wrong but Dre justifies their affair by bad-mouthing his wife, Neecy to Bree.
Initially, church-going Neecy is unsuspecting of the affair. After all she has befriended Bree, had conversations at length with Bree, and even invited Bree over to her home. You’ll have to read Another Woman’s Husband to find out how Neecy handles her lying, cheating husband and what happens for her to lay hands on Bree.
How does Bree handle being the “Other Woman”? Neecy and Bree are they Dre’s only victims?

Jahzara: Angel, what was your motivation for writing Another Woman’s
Husband?

Angel Mechelle: Another Woman’s Husband was inspired by actual events in my life. The characters are based off of actual people, but a reader can easily associate them with people in their own lives. Bree Michaels’s story isn’t unique. There are many women who are living this story every day, some with even worse consequences than Bree. I wanted to share this particular story with women everywhere to give them a chance to look inside of another situation and look deeper into their own. I’m finding that many women can relate to Bree and Neecy.

Jahzara: What authors have inspired you?

Angel Mechelle: I have always been an avid reader. I read books from all genres. To point out an author who inspired me would be hard. There are truly too many to name.
I do however, appreciate Shannon Holmes, not only for his work, but for what he has done as far as reaching back and giving new authors such as myself the opportunity to make their way into the literary world. E. Lynn Harris was a big inspiration to me, when I received an email and a book of fiction lessons from his foundation a few years ago. His message was to just start somewhere, and don’t give up on writing. Four years ago that’s what I did and here I am today.

Jahzara: Upon reading Another Woman’s Husband, what do you hope your readers will take away from the story?
Angel Mechelle: I hope readers will be entertained as well as educated on how devastating infidelity can be for all involved…including the children. I would like for readers to take a deep look into the worlds of Dre, Bree, and Neecy and reconsider their own actions. The only person who wins… is the cheater. They get the best of both worlds.

I give Another Woman’s Husband 5 bookmarks. The storyline is believable. It keeps the reader engaged. At times enraged to the point where you want to reach out and smack one of the characters. The ending is a pleasant and unsuspecting one. I’m sure Angel Mechelle has many great books to come and a follow-up to this novel.
Purchase your copy today at www. myspace. com/writeordiechic

Newcomer Angel Mechelle brings readers a sizzling page-turner with her debut novel “Another Woman’s Husband”. Main character Breanna Michaels (Bree) is a single mother of two young children who is no stranger to drama. Although she has been through the wringer and back with her children’s fathers and has moved to Florida for a fresh start, nothing can prepare her for the antics of her latest love interest. Not too long after her move, things get interesting when Bree responds positively to propositions posed by her neighbor’s husband, Dre. Though she knows it is wrong, Bree embarks on this relationship that was pretty much doomed from the start. Not only is Dre married with children, but Breanna is cordial with his wife Neecy – and the couple lives right across the hall!!!

Once the affair is in full swing it doesn’t take long for Bree to see that Dre will NEVER be hers. Despite revelations involving domestic abuse, illegitimate children, and drug-abuse, Bree is “standing by Neecy’s man”, lol. Her life has taken on drastic changes, but Bree is certain that Dre is her soul mate and will not back down. Neecy is putting up one hell of a fight and so the saga goes.

I love the cover of this novel and find that there would be no other title more fitting than the one Angel designated. At times I wanted to strangle Bree for the poor choices she made, but that’s the whole idea – creating characters readers love to hate! I wish some of the situations would have been omitted in order to provide a more solid closure, though I am aware of a sequel in the works. Still, I feel with the tremendous information provided in this fabulous debut, it should be a single book. Angel demonstrates great story telling skills and I without a doubt look forward to a new story from her.

Meet Breana Nicole Micheals she is a sexy single mother of two doing what she has to, to hold her family down. She has gotten herself into some messy relationships and has decided to move Tuckett, Fl to get her mind right and get the support of her family. After being in Fl for a yr she gets some unwanted attention from her sexy neighbor Andre Edwards bka Dre who is tall like Kobe, thick like Labron James and a look alike for the rapper The Game right down to the tattoos The Game has. Sounds sexy doesn’t he, so you ask what is the problem? The problem is he is very married to Neecy for almost 8 yrs and the couple has two children together. Now when I say unwanted I mean she is not into married guys, hell she wants to get married herself. She is lonely and misses the male companionship. Bree wants to feel beautiful, wants to feel like a woman. Dre taking advantage of the situation woos her into a relationship with him. In a New York minute Bree’s life goes from drama free to way too much drama. Bree goes from the cool person with morals to every woman’s worst nightmare.

Dre and Neecy have the perfect marriage to outsiders. Dre works and takes care of home like a man should. Then Neecy gets a whiff that things aint what they seem between her husband and the neighbor she has been friendly to. Neecy puts her detective skills to work. Neecy is not going out without a fight. She stands firm on the notion – you will not get my husband without a fight. Man the drama is unbelievable and intense! Dre is so slick I think he showered daily in oil. The way these two women both refused to let him go had me cheering and calling them stupid idiots in the next breath lol. You are going to have to read the book to get all your questions answered like who wins Dre, and how much drama can these people withstand.

Author Angel Mechelle pens a hood novel that women can identify with at one time or another whether the wife or the other woman. The emotions she reveals in the novel are classic. Makes me wonder who was she in the book? Another Woman’s Husband was really a change of pace, as I have never read a book from the other woman’s viewpoint, well one who never wanted to be the other woman anyway. Angel painted a vivid picture; I felt like I was a fly on the wall. The only draw back I had with the book was the ending seems rushed. While she closed the story and didn’t leave the reader hanging, she didn’t spend a lot of time explaining like she did in the early part of the book. I am looking forward to reading more of her work in the near future.

**Another Woman’s Husband
Angel Mechelle
Reviewed by Jada Temple
Some women do not want to be a drama magnet but somehow it seems to whisper their
names, despite the consequences that are sure to follow. With all honesty, the main
character really wants to stay clear of any trouble.
A single mother of two, with family support for her children; a job that pays the bills -
though not glamorous, Breana “Bree” Michaels does the exact opposite of tossing her
mantra “Drama Free Bree” under the mattress. It is with whom she lies down with on
that mattress that shows though people are human and make mistakes, we often times
choose our own paths to destruction.
Temptation is very thick throughout the novel and so are suspicions. What I really
enjoyed about this novel is that I was able to feel the suspense page after page. I found
myself talking to Bree to let her know that she did not need someone else’s man in her
life, because in the end, that person would never be completely hers. There were
tremendous lessons to be learned and Bree had some serious soul searching and growing
up to do. The romance scenes were very passionate and laced with lust between Bree and
Dré, with whom she sneaks around. The people who were close to her were extremely
tired of Bree placing the most important things in her life on the line over a man, but Bree
simply could not see past their advice. All she sees is a man who told her he loved her
and who had his own demons to fight.
I recommend this novel for all the women, particularly in the African-American
community, for two reasons. One, women need to understand that when we go into a
relationship with our eyes closed, the other person has some undisclosed issues as well.
Two, loving and forgiving yourself first, despite your past, is a must to have someone
love you back with all good intentions. Thanks to the author for this excellent read.

Bree Michaels is young, sexy, single and raising two children alone. As if being single weren t bad enough, Bree has a problem; she misses having that special someone in her life. It s been a while, but Bree isn t desperate or even looking for love, when things jump off. She never wanted to be someone s slide, and definitely never wanted to be the other woman . In Bree s mind she was a catch, wifey material. It was when she met Dre, her fine and married neighbor when all her self-control and morals flew out the window. Bree surprises herself by her willingness to compromise her soul to be with Dre. Things get hectic when Dre s wife Neecy begins to suspect the true nature of the friendship between Bree and Dre. Neecy goes crazy when she learns the truth. Neecy vows not to let Bree break up her family or take her man not without a fight.

If you are looking for a Great read for the weekend. Why not get
your copy of the book that everyone is talking about! Another Woman’s
Husband is receiving rave reviews across the board. You can check
them out at amazon.com.

Here is the synopsis and the latest review from EKG Literary Magazine.

**Bree Michaels is young, sexy, single and raising two children
alone. As if being single weren t bad enough, Bree has a problem; she
misses having that special someone in her life. It s been a while,
but Bree isn t desperate or even looking for love, when things jump
off. She never wanted to be someone s slide, and definitely never
wanted to be the other woman . In Bree s mind she was a catch, wifey
material. It was when she met Dre, her fine and married neighbor when
all her self-control and morals flew out the window. Bree surprises
herself by her willingness to compromise her soul to be with Dre.
Things get hectic when Dre s wife Neecy begins to suspect the true
nature of the friendship between Bree and Dre. Neecy goes crazy when
she learns the truth. Neecy vows not to let Bree break up her family
or take her man not without a fight.

**Another Woman’s Husband
Angel Mechelle
Reviewed by Jada Temple

Some women do not want to be a drama magnet but somehow it seems to
whisper their names, despite the consequences that are sure to
follow. With all honesty, the main character really wants to stay
clear of any trouble.

A single mother of two, with family support for her children; a job
that pays the bills -though not glamorous, Breana “Bree” Michaels
does the exact opposite of tossing her mantra “Drama Free Bree” under
the mattress. It is with whom she lies down with on that mattress
that shows though people are human and make mistakes, we often times
choose our own paths to destruction. Temptation is very thick
throughout the novel and so are suspicions. What I really
enjoyed about this novel is that I was able to feel the suspense page
after page. I found myself talking to Bree to let her know that she
did not need someone else’s man in her life, because in the end, that
person would never be completely hers. There were tremendous lessons
to be learned and Bree had some serious soul searching and growing
up to do. The romance scenes were very passionate and laced with lust
between Bree and Dré, with whom she sneaks around. The people who
were close to her were extremely tired of Bree placing the most
important things in her life on the line over a man, but Bree
simply could not see past their advice. All she sees is a man who
told her he loved her and who had his own demons to fight.

I recommend this novel for all the women, particularly in the African-
American community, for two reasons. One, women need to understand
that when we go into a relationship with our eyes closed, the other
person has some undisclosed issues as well.
Two, loving and forgiving yourself first, despite your past, is a
must to have someone
love you back with all good intentions. Thanks to the author for this
excellent read.
